Michael Power

Michael received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with distinction from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax,Nova Scotia, in 1979 and in 1982 obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie Law School in Halifax.

Michael articled in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and was admitted  to the Saskatchewan bar in 1984. He practiced law in Saskatchewan until he moved to Alberta. He was admitted to the Alberta bar in 2002. He is a member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan (currently non-practicing) and a member of the Law Society of Alberta.

Michael is a past president and director of the Canadian Paraplegic Association, Saskatchewan Division and has served as a member and director of a variety of charitable corporations. He practiced law for several years with Bishop & McKenzie LLP in Edmonton and was senior in-house civil litigation counsel with the Edmonton Police Service.

Michael is married to Norma Anne and they have two sons. Michael enjoys photography, music, and traveling.
