Edmonton Office
Ph. 780-451-9191 Kailey@accidentinjurylawyer.com Kailey was born in Edmonton but spent her first 7 years living in Vancouver enjoying the beach, Granville Island and Stanley Park with her parents and two younger siblings. She eventually returned to Edmonton and learned to tolerate the cold, attending St. Mary’s Elementary school in Riverbend, followed by Louis St. Laurent Junior & Senior High where she was an avid volleyball and basketball player. After completing her Bachelor Of Arts degree With Distinction at Dalhousie University in Halifax and Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton, where she was twice awarded the Jason Lang Scholarship and the Howard L. Watson Award for Academic Achievement, Kailey obtained her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Alberta in 2014. She gained invaluable experience while articling with Jackie Handerek & Forester in Leduc, representing terminally ill claimants against disability insurers and medical malpractice plaintiffs against Alberta Health Services. She also successfully assisted injured Albertans with navigating complicated Workers Compensation Board practices and policies. Since joining Braithwaite Boyle in 2017, Kailey has focused exclusively on personal injury law, representing people injured in motor vehicle accidents in both Alberta and B.C., along with plaintiffs injured in slip and fall accidents, dog attacks, and other freak occurrences that can happen when least expected. Kailey appears often in Alberta’s Court of Queen’s Bench and regularly attends Continuing Education seminars with the Legal Education Society of Alberta to remain on the cutting edge of both Alberta law and advances in the medical field that can affect personal injury clients. She considers herself fortunate to be a member of a highly motivated team of legal professionals in a challenging, dynamic, and creative environment. Kailey is a lawyer who truly cares - about her clients and her community. Her professional philosophy is that the best results are achieved when compassion meets consistency, and she is dedicated to assisting people in finding practical solutions to the everyday problems they face after being injured through no fault of their own. Advocacy and relationship building are two of her strongest assets, and she is committed to helping her clients obtain the compensation they deserve. Kailey is a member of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association and the Alberta Hereditary Breast & Ovarian Cancer Society’s Advocacy Committee. She has volunteered with the Cross Cancer Institute as well as CIBC’s Run for the Cure and the Canadian Diabetes Association. In her spare time, she loves live music, dancing, yoga and traveling. Her greatest adventure was a 3 month solo trip around New Zealand where she got to go bungee jumping, mountain lugeing, white water rafting and parasailing. She never turns down a good true crime podcast, scary movie, or a good meal. |
